Everyone Knows that I have been a fan of Michael Angelo's Italian dinners for a while now and you may have seen the other blog post I did for them before but I'm doing another one because they are a bit different than they were and a lot better than the bigger batches.

Michael Angelo's Italian dinners, are now being made in smaller batches from scratch to give you that really homemade taste and authentic Italian flavor that you only get from spending hours in the kitchen. I loved these before but now I have to say they are just the best frozen Italian dinner you can get flavor wise. I did a taste test with my family and they could not tell that it was frozen and that's really great. These are so easy to make and if you are planing any kind of get together with friends and family this year you could get a few of the many varieties they make and have no clean up and no fuss doing it.

I know you might not think that these could ever compare to homemade but let me tell you that I was married to an Italian for years and his aunt maria use to make these kinds of dishes all the time and I found that the Michael Angelo's Italian dinners tasted as good or better than her's did. So I just hope you at least give them a try, they really do just blow away the competition in a big way and I know you will just love them.

This post may ruffle a few feathers. It's probably a bad idea to publish this post, but why not? The ole Crystal Cattle blog is due for a little excitement every once in awhile.

Let me start off by saying I REALLY dislike buffalo and their bison meat, a lot. No offense to buffalo farmers and ranchers, but I don't think your product makes much sense. Yes, herds of buffalo once fed the Native Americans quite well, however we now have this red meat call beef.

Why I personally feel beef is superior.

1. Beef is a more consistent product, that has quality guidelines. It is called the USDA Beef Grading System. When you buy a Choice steak you've got a pretty good idea of what you are getting. If you buy a Select steak you know the quality will be less, but you are also paying less. (Make sure you cook those Select cuts of beef a little slower and longer, or try marinades as their is less marbling in a Select steak).

2. Your buffalo are taking up room that my cattle could have. Yes, I know that is a really compelling argument.

3. Steak > bison

Why I am I even bringing up this subject other than please don't try and feed me the stuff if we are out to supper together. Today is Mr. Obama's inaugural lunch. It will include steamed lobster, potatoes, apple pie and grilled bison. Mr. Obama in 2009 47.8% of the dollars consumers spend on meat was spent on beef, in 2010 cattle contributed to 15.6% of all agriculture cash receipts, in 2011 then beef industry generated $44 billion in farm gate receipts.

Do you think you could maybe throw some beef on your plate?

Additional note: I found this article that talks about many of the Presidents' inaugural dinners, and many of them have not included beef. I hope whoever we get in 2017 steps up to the plate.

It is snowing across a fair chunk of the Midwest this week. We got about four inches is what they are telling me, but Kansas got dumped on. When winter weather hits there are a couple big priorities for farmers and ranchers - get the livestock fed, break ice in the waters, and start pushing snow so you can get around.

I was sent this video by an Kansas rancher, Derek Klingenberg, last night and I wanted to share. The video is so pretty and music is so soothing that you kind of forget that he is probably going this in single degree temps (maybe even lower with the windchill). #thankafarmer



p.s. are any of you excited to go see the new Wizard of Oz movie? The name is slipping me right now, but the Boy really wants to go see it.

Stylish Mode Headbands review

I was able to try 2 headbands that were made at Stylish Mode fashion accessories and wanted to tell you all about them. These beautiful headbands come in a variety of colors for all your fashion looks. I really liked that they really did a great job staying secure on my head and holding my hair the way I wanted them to. Stylish Mode also sent me there adjustable head band so you can make it as tight as you like for those windy days or when you are out jogging or at the beach.

I found the adjustable to be really good for me here in Florida when the wind picks up off the ocean. I saw so many very lovely headbands on the Stylish Mode web site she really has a nice flair for whats pretty and fashionable!

I use a lot of headbands because my hair it a bit unruly. so when I go to the store or are out for a walk I always use headbands to keep the hair in place and look nice doing it. Its so hard to find a headband that fits well and has some nice design on it to match an outfit.

Agave Wholesome Sweeteners review

I was able to try some of the great sweeteners that Wholesome sweeteners makes with Agave. I found these to be very nice and easy to use . They come in all kinds of flavors. I really like the maple and the cinnamon. You can use the Cinnamon flavor in sweet potato's it saves a step and I think that the flavor of the agave brings out the sweet potato very nicely.

Wholesome Sweeteners Blue agave syrup, is an all natural Low Glycemic sweetener that's great to use in place of sugar in drinks and cooking. Its a bit sweeter than normal sugar so you can use less of it and get the same taste. I really liked using mine in cooking. I added it to sweet porato's and to my Mu shu vegetable dish I make. Because its a syrup it works really well in food prep and blends in really well with foods.

I did have a bit of problem finding the different flavors but I used some of the small packet samples I was given to share with my group, just so I could try the different flavors. I did find the Blue agave and the raw agave at Publix in the sugar area on the top shelf but those were the only choices they had at this time.

As I said I got to try these with my friends and family and the company sent me many samples to try with them. Some of my group is on the fence about it not being sure about how to measure it into a recipe. That being said I found that I just used a bit less than normal sugar would be recommended . I can tell you its so worth trying if you ever make sweet potato's.

Let me start off by saying I REALLY dislike buffalo and their bison meat, a lot. No offense to buffalo farmers and ranchers, but I don't think your product makes much sense. Yes, herds of buffalo once fed the Native Americans quite well, however we now have this red meat call beef.

Why I personally feel beef is superior.

1. Beef is a more consistent product, that has quality guidelines. It is called the USDA Beef Grading System. When you buy a Choice steak you've got a pretty good idea of what you are getting. If you buy a Select steak you know the quality will be less, but you are also paying less. (Make sure you cook those Select cuts of beef a little slower and longer, or try marinades as their is less marbling in a Select steak).

2. Your buffalo are taking up room that my cattle could have. Yes, I know that is a really compelling argument.

3. Steak > bison

Why I am I even bringing up this subject other than please don't try and feed me the stuff if we are out to supper together. Today is Mr. Obama's inaugural lunch. It will include steamed lobster, potatoes, apple pie and grilled bison. Mr. Obama in 2009 47.8% of the dollars consumers spend on meat was spent on beef, in 2010 cattle contributed to 15.6% of all agriculture cash receipts, in 2011 then beef industry generated $44 billion in farm gate receipts.

Do you think you could maybe throw some beef on your plate?

New Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blend review and giveaway

I was able to try this great new flavor of Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blend through Purex insiders Group and I was so happy I was selected to try it. I love mango and this cereal has plenty of awesome Mango flavor as well as coconut clusters that really go great together. This is a really different cereal flavor because you just don't see many tropical blends available. I loved everything about it !

The mango really comes through and gives this flavor of Honey Bunches of Oats a kick. You also get nice sized coconut flakes in it that make for a really tasty combination of flavors.

The calories in this are so reasonable at 120 per serving I think kids will love it because its got the right amount of sweetness and the right amount of fruit flavor that kids love. The Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blend is very crispy and cruchy and hold up to milk very well. I you love mango or coconut you are going to find that this new flavor is fruity and delicious.

I was so blessed to be selected to try these products by nuNATT, what I got to try are the 5 hair care product in the nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin line.I really fell in love with all of these for many reasons. first I have to tell you that I really over work my aging hair, because I was born with a really lousy hair color, I color it often not only to give it color but to cover grays now. I have been coloring my hair since I was 13. being 52 now you can guess that my hair is dry because of all this coloring. I also do much more damage by flat ironing it blow drying it and styling it.

I come from a long line of people who have naturally curly hair, some how I did not get the curl but the frizz, my hair is naturally frizzy and the Florida humidity makes it hard to manage. Also the water in Florida is not good for hair because they treat it with so many chemicals that its not even good to drink. I live in one of the oldest cities in america so the plumbing leaves much to be desired.

I got to try these nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin products and the very first time I used them I could see a huge difference in my hair, its so soft and felt so much younger than it has in a very long time. The product line has a Deep moisturizing shampoo, deep conditioner, Liquid keratin leave in reconstructor, an Intensive hair mask and a serum ultra shine.

All of these work together to support your hair structure and add softness ,shine and manageability, as you can see from the video I did.

doing video review can sometimes really be hard because it was really difficult to get my hair in shape to not look a mess on video. If you have seen other video review I did you might have said yo yourself that woman should do something with her hair ! believe me I have tried !

I am so happy to have discovered nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin's line of products because as you can clearly see it made a huge differences in the way my hair looks now. Having tried everything from the very very high end to the less expensive I am so glad I found something that works and will not damage my budget.

You can find these product at lots of stores and pharmacy's all over so it not something you will not be able to find which is a huge help to me. These are all very reasonably priced as well.

Claritin-D product review

I was able to try Claritin-D through bzz agent and got a 10.00 off a 10 count box. I had tried Claritin for my allergies before and it really dose work well , the only bad bzz I have about it is cost, gosh its pricey but it dose work well and I did not have any side effects from it so that really good because some others can really make you sleepy.

This Claritin-D has to be purchased at the pharmacy counter, so that's where to find it. I thought it worked very well to relieve congestion and keep my eyes from watering, Its also very good for post nasal drip, I did not have any bad side effects from using it but you would need to check with your doctor to see if its OK for you to take as some people on meds or who have BP problems have to check with the doctor first. I have always had problems with my sinuses and I did not have to wait for a cold to try it my nose is stuffy a whole lot of the time anyway.

I think this is a really great product for any kind of cold symptoms and it will really help you get through a cold nicely. That all being said I so wish it was a bit cheaper to buy, I got the coupons but I would not normally pay this much for a OTC cold remedy.

Anyway the bottom line is Claritin-D will work nicely , it did for me and it should do well for you too I hope you give it a try with your next cold or congestion problem. Thanks for reading my review :)

I was offered a gift card to do this review for the website but I'm really so glad I found it because My father and I have big plans for this house.

This is my dads second home and it had been neglected for a while. Now that I am all moved in, its my job to keep the house up and take care of the problems it has. One of the huge problems is the lighting here its really old and I have been looking at ways to make it better. Capitol Lighting has everything I could need to get started on the improvement projects I have in mind . I sure hope you have a look at everything they have to offer.

I was able to read Just Like Jesus By Max Lucado through book sneeze and I really loved it . This is such a great book and Max is really at his best and most helpful.

I Have read many a book by Max Lucado and they are always so good and so uplifting that I re-read them all the time. Just Like Jesus By Max Lucado is going to be one I treasure always.

What I really like about Max is his ability to really get to the heart of an issue and apply humor to it in a way we can all relate to. This book as 12 easy to read chapters and at the back of the book each chapter has questions so it doubles as a work book.

Each chapter helps us understand how we can be more like Jesus and how its important to rely on Jesus and his authority to help us do this. My very favorite chapter is titled The greenhouse of the Mind : A Pure heart. I loved this chapter so much because I could really relate to the problem of facing things like guilt or other thoughts that try and steal our joy in the Lord. I am applying what I learned from this chapter and its really helping me a lot.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants disparately to grow in Christ and for those looking for a group study book. All the questions in the book make for a better understanding on how to really get the most out of each chapter, its a really complete Christian Growth book.
