Who is a Pinterest fanatic? I am, I am, I am. A big part of my addiction is the recipe section. And since trying 10 new recipes was a 101 in 1001 goal of mine Pinterest was the perfect place to scope out new recipes.

However, things don't always turn out like those perfect food photography shots. So here a few ratings on my latest Pinterest recipe tries.

Balsamic and Brown Sugar Grilled Strawberries: BThey were ok. I think I'll stick with grilling peaches as my fruit of choice. They kind of tasted like strawberry jam, and they make your grill really sticky.

Watermelon and Strawberry Lemonade: AI forgot to take a picture of this when I made it, but I loved this recipe. (Maybe it was the vodka I added). It is a little unusual to drink watermelon. There is definitely a texture to the drink, but I really enjoyed it.

Rachel Ray's Southwestern Chili Con Queso Pasta Bake: B+The recipe was pretty good, but not nearly as good as the picture looked. It makes a huge quantity so in our two person household we had tons of leftovers. Also, it definitely has some kick to it. I would probably turn back the amount of jalepeno I and chili powder used next time.

Crock Pot Cheesy Ravioli Recipe: CI was hoping this recipe would really turn out and would be a good option for me to make at the state fair. However, I don't think this recipe tasted any better than boiling Ravioli and pouring sauce on top of it. I cooked the recipe the minimum amount of time and it was still quite mushy. This won't be a repeat recipe in our house. 
What Pinterest successes have you had? Did you know that there is a website called Pinterst Fail? Definitely worth checking out.

3. How should children who are athletes deal with the restriction in calories?
4. Why can't we provide more lean protein for our growing kids?

Janey Thaney, Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services will be leading the chat. Hopefully, she has a much clearer understanding of the new changes that Secretary Tom Vilsack did in this interview.

Time to celebrate

This weekend the Boy and I were wedding goers. It was fun being at a wedding the day before our 6 month anniversary. Parts of our wedding day were such a blur, so it is always nice to sit back and reflect on the biggest day of our lives. May sound cliche, but so far it really has been.

What did I pull out of the closet for this occasion? Well it was so cold out you don't get to see the cute black strapless dress I had on, but don't worry my accessories will made up for it.


I am crazy about this leopard scarf I got at Top Shop last year, and I am glad that Fall is finally here and I can break it out. Here, and here and here are similar versions. My other outerwear staple is a long wool coat I got at Old Navy a few years ago. Be watching Old Navy brings back the best black wool/pea coats every year. Promise. 

Remember how I was crazy about ILY Couture jewelry. Well I finally got me some. This bracelet was awesome. Keep on eye on the Ily Couture Facebook page because they are always have Facebook offers (yes, they actually work). 

Has anyone been to J.C. Penny lately? Yeah, they have really stepped up there game. I got a beautiful red scarf there the other day and picked up these earring. They Boy even asked me where I got them from. Bonus points to him for noticing, and bonus points for me for finding awesome deals. These earrings aren't on their website however if you are looking for something similar, but not a deal check out these David Yurman earrings. I love David Yurman. Too bad money didn't grow on trees.

It's getting cold outside.

So I really couldn't complain because it probably won't be that cold outside it I just put on a proper coat, but I am not quite ready to give us my beautiful fall days. Yet below freezing night time temperatures might force me to make a change. The 70% change of rain on Saturday that is supposed to show up while we are watching Kansas State dominate Iowa State also is making me want to dig out our winter coats.

What better way to put yourself in a cold weather mood than some new turquoise winter clothing.

Has anyone been on the Northface site? They have all their new winter coats out and lots of turquoise winter coat options. 
This one is kinda cool too. To be honest I'll probably just stick with basic black (again) however I would love to layer a turquoise jacket like this underneath. 

I thought this minty green color was pretty, but I need something without a hood. When I can't detach hoods from coats it drives me crazy. They call this the Decagon Jacket. 

OK, I know this jacket isn't turquoise but I had to show it. I can't quite determine how warm is would be, but isn't this tunic jacket great. I prefer the black version but this heather white showed the details so much better.

Country Bobs sauce and cookbook review

The wonderful people at Country Bobs Sauce sent me a really nice cookbook filled with tasty Country Bob Recipes. Because they did this for me I thought I would do an extra Blog post and a short video review for the cookbook so you can see how nice it is.

Even before I got this cookbook I have been experimenting with country Bobs Sauce in my dinners, besides being awesome on steak , did you know its also really good on grilled salmon! It adds just the right Kick to fish as well as what you would normally think to use it on. Country Bobs Sauce is really great on Sweet potato fries as well, its just something about the flavor that goes really well with sweet potato.

I have actually started using it in place of ketchup all together. You know that when you choose Country Bobs you are choosing a very well made product by people who care about their customers. PaloVia Skin Renewing Laser review 3 update

Hi Everyone!, First I would like to say that I did this video a few days ago I than was just to sick with t flu to post it so keep in mind its about 4 days old. This is my update on how things are moving along with the PaloVia Laser I have been working with to get rid of the large wrinkles around my eye area.I received the Laser free so I could tell all my friends about how its going so here is whats been happening.After doing this for about 16 day which is about 1/2 way through the 30 day initial treatment faze I have been seeing my wrinkles become less deep.

Right now I am in the skin healing faze and the skin around my eyes is a bit dry and rough. This is an entirely expected occurrence as my skin is working to heal the area the laser was used on and replacing dead skin with new skin.The redness has lessened and I do use a foundation during the day and it covers the healing areas well.

I can really tell its working and as the instruction book says you have to stick with it and keep doing the treatments daily which I am doing. Because my wrinkles are really much deeper when I smile I know it will probably take every bit of the 30 days. That being said when my face is relaxed I can see no wrinkles in the area they appear in when I big smile. This is fantastic and I know its going to be wonderful once I am finished.Anyway here is the video I did for it this is the 3rd video for this product and I will be doing more of them soon thanks for looking.
